| For a hazardous and nuclear waste processing firm our staff utilized CAD to generate PFDs, P&IDs, and component level drawings to develop a turn-key high-pressure mixed radioactive waste feeding system. The system employed a 2-stage shredding/granulating system for size-reduction from 1 cubic foot to 1/8-inch particle size, a negative-pressure pneumatic conveying system, and our custom-engineered high-pressure screw feed system to inject the waste into a reactor. By utilizing commercially available off-the-shelf hardware the project came in under budget and saved six-figure cost. |
