For a consumer products company, our staff contributed to the mechanical design and fabrication of a novel shredded cheese dispenser that stored and metered the delivery of pre-shredded cheese for commercial fast-food applications. The design required repeatable meterability to one cheese shred accuracy, quality product, NSF compliance, efficient cooling, and appealing aesthetics. We contributed to the design of the refrigeration system, sheet metal enclosure, and drive mechanism, and configured a test apparatus to determine the thermodynamic performance of the unit.
